The biggest event on the Australian cotton industry’s calendar for 2017 – the Cotton Collective – will be hosted in Griffith, NSW, for the first time in its history.
The event will run from 26 to 27 July 2017 at the Yoogali Club, and will coincide with other major industry events, including the Australian Cotton Trade Show and the Australian Cotton Industry Awards.
Cotton Australia CEO Adam Kay says a stellar program relevant to new and experienced cotton growers has been organised. Day one agenda highlights include:
- agriculture towards 2030
- technology for change
- connected agriculture for smarter farms
- happy workforce – productive farms
- the great march south
- Australian cotton in a global market
- challenges for agricultural chemistries
Day two agenda highlights include an introduction to new commercially available technologies and a Cotton 101 session, a must-attend for any new or aspiring growers.
“Griffith is located in a region experiencing tremendous growth in the area planted to cotton, so we’re thrilled to welcome any new growers or individuals who are interested in getting involved in the cotton industry,” Mr Kay says.
“Attendees will hear from their peers, top speakers and industry leaders. With a range of events hosted around the Collective, it’s also a great networking opportunity.”
Registration is now open. While there is no cost to attend, Cotton Australia asks participants to register for catering purposes. For more information and to register, visit the Cotton Australia website.
